Horner contesta declaração de Marko sobre oferta da Audi de negócio na F1 para Sainz

Christian Horner, team principal of Red Bull Racing, rejected Helmut Marko’s claim that Audi made a lucrative offer to Carlos Sainz. Sainz, who is currently seeking a new team after Lewis Hamilton’s acquisition by Ferrari, is a potential candidate for Mercedes. Marko revealed that Red Bull also had discussions with Sainz, but Horner denied any knowledge of Audi’s involvement in Formula 1. Horner stated that no offer was disclosed to Red Bull and it would be inappropriate to comment on the matter.

Horner emphasized that no financial details were shared with Red Bull, despite Marko apparently having information about Audi’s proposal to Sainz. Marko previously expressed his dissatisfaction with Audi’s attempts to influence the driver market. There are rumors that Audi is pressuring Sainz to make a decision soon, as they have already signed Nico Hulkenberg for a spot at Haas. Marko commented on the current state of the driver market, stating that it is unusual for such discussions to take place in April. He also found it strange that a newcomer like Audi is exerting pressure in the driver market.
