Horner: Perez não se abalou com manobras em Suzuka F1 130R

Sergio Perez, from Red Bull Racing RB20, had an impressive performance at the Japanese Formula 1 Grand Prix. Red Bull team boss Christian Horner praised Perez’s skills on the track, noting that he didn’t look like a family man with the daring maneuvers he made during the race. Despite narrowly missing out on pole position, Perez secured a front row starting position for the first time in almost a year. He finished in second place, contributing to another Red Bull 1-2 led by Max Verstappen. Perez faced some challenges during the race, including being demoted to fourth place at one point due to an undercut strategy by Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc. However, he showcased his overtaking skills and managed to stay on track. Horner acknowledged Perez’s strong performance over the weekend and expressed his admiration for the driver’s determination. Perez attributed his improved results to a change in approach, no longer experimenting with his car’s setup. Horner also mentioned that Perez’s future with Red Bull will be decided soon, as his contract is due for renewal. Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko suggested that uncertainty regarding Perez’s contract may be contributing to his motivation and success this season.
