Horner: I categorically reject these allegations.

According to a report, Christian Horner, the boss of Max Verstappen and the team boss of the F1 World Champion, is currently under investigation by Red Bull for alleged inappropriate behavior towards a colleague. The CEO of the company, Oliver Mintzlaff, is said to be personally interested in the matter. Red Bull has hired an external barrister to conduct an independent investigation, indicating that the issue is controversial. It remains to be seen whether Horner will lose his job or be suspended until the case is resolved.

When asked for comment, Horner denied the claims. Red Bull has released a statement acknowledging the allegations and stating that they have launched an independent investigation conducted by an external specialist barrister. The company is taking the matter very seriously and aims to complete the investigation as soon as possible. They have declined to provide further comments at this time.

The Dutch newspaper, Die Telegraaf, initially reported the story but decided not to publish it based on advice from their legal team. The German website F1-Insider later verified the report separately and confirmed its accuracy. The Daily Mail ran a headline stating that Geri Halliwell’s husband, Christian Horner, is fighting to keep his job at Red Bull Formula One after being accused of inappropriate behavior towards a female colleague. Horner has dismissed the allegations as “nuts.”

An insider from the Red Bull team has claimed that the allegations involve incredibly controlling behavior towards a female colleague. Christian Horner, who is 50 years old and married to Spice Girl Geri Halliwell, has been the team principal of Red Bull Racing since the team’s entry into Formula 1 in 2005. The report suggests that there may be a serious division within the Red Bull team ahead of the 2024 F1 season, with Horner’s loyalists claiming that he is the victim of an internal power struggle within the broader Red Bull family.

These developments raise questions about the stability of the Red Bull team, which has been dominant in Formula 1 for the past two seasons and is expected to continue its success with Max Verstappen. However, it remains uncertain whether Horner will still be in his position for Red Bull’s 270th Grand Prix weekend in Bahrain, which is less than a month away. The situation is still unfolding, and further updates are expected.
