McLaren emerged victorious in the 2024 Formula 1 Constructors’ Championship, edging out Ferrari in a nail-biting finish. Meanwhile, Max Verstappen clinched his fourth consecutive Drivers’ Championship at the Las Vegas Grand Prix, but only after a fierce challenge from McLaren’s Lando Norris, whose spirited campaign highlighted the tightening competition across the grid.

“Four Teams Poised for Glory in 2025”

The second half of the 2024 season saw drivers from McLaren, Ferrari, Mercedes, and Red Bull (excluding Sergio Perez) vying for victories, signaling an unprecedented level of competition. As teams prepare for the final year of the current technical regulations in 2025, fans and experts alike anticipate one of the most competitive seasons in recent memory.

“Horner Acknowledges McLaren’s Triumph”

Red Bull’s reign as Constructors’ Champions came to an end, but Team Principal Christian Horner was gracious in defeat, praising McLaren for their achievement.

“Congratulations to McLaren, to all the men and women there. We know how hard it is to win a Constructors’ Championship. Zak [Brown], Andrea [Stella], and their team did an outstanding job. They deserved it,” Horner stated.

Despite Verstappen’s dominance, Red Bull’s overall campaign faltered, with Sergio Perez’s struggles cited as a major factor. While Red Bull won more races and Sprint events, McLaren’s consistency and the dual contributions of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri secured them the title.

“Red Bull’s Challenges and Horner’s Reflection”

The 2024 season was tumultuous for Red Bull, marked by internal controversies and structural shake-ups:

  • Adrian Newey’s departure and other key personnel exits left the team scrambling for stability.
  • A sexting scandal involving Christian Horner caused internal friction, with Jos Verstappen and Helmut Marko reportedly clashing over the fallout.
  • Perez’s inability to perform consistently left Verstappen carrying the lion’s share of Red Bull’s campaign.

Despite these challenges, Horner lauded his team’s resilience:

“Considering all the off-track drama and internal changes, we still delivered nine victories. That’s a testament to the incredible team back at Milton Keynes.”

“A Glimpse at 2025: Tight Margins and Fierce Battles”

Horner is already looking forward to 2025, predicting a closely contested season with at least four teams in the hunt for wins.

“Since the summer break, Charles [Leclerc] actually scored more points than Max, which shows how competitive it’s become. Next year, Formula 1 will be the ultimate winner as we expect fine margins and tight battles,” he said.

Consistency, Horner emphasized, will be the key to success in a season where getting an early edge could prove decisive.

“McLaren’s Return to Glory”

For McLaren, their first Constructors’ Championship since 1998 is a testament to the team’s remarkable turnaround under CEO Zak Brown and Team Principal Andrea Stella. The team transformed from backmarkers at the start of 2023 to title contenders within two seasons, thanks to innovative engineering and a stellar driver pairing.

“What’s Next?”

As F1 enters its final year under current regulations, 2025 promises a dramatic showdown among four powerhouse teams. With McLaren, Ferrari, Red Bull, and Mercedes all capable of winning races, the stakes have never been higher. For fans, this could be the season of a lifetime, with every race a potential decider in what may be the most competitive championship in decades.
