Horner acredita na dedicação e entusiasmo de Verstappen pelo Red Bull apesar da polêmica de Helmut Marko.

Max Verstappen has a clause in his contract that allows him to terminate his association with Red Bull if Marko leaves.

Dr. Helmut Marko, Max Verstappen, and Christian Horner in the Red Bull box (image via IMAGO) confirmed that they do not question Verstappen’s dedication to Red Bull. There has been a significant amount of internal turmoil occurring at Red Bull regarding the investigation into Horner and his involvement in it. Recently, rumors have surfaced that the Red Bull Team Principal intends to remove Marko and take full control of the team. However, such a move could result in the loss of the team’s star, Max Verstappen.

Verstappen recently affirmed his loyalty to Marko and the possibility of leaving the team if the Austrian were to be removed. The Dutchman’s father publicly accused Horner of causing internal conflicts within the team and even met with Mercedes Team Principal, Toto Wolff, in Bahrain, fueling speculation that Verstappen could replace Lewis Hamilton, who is set to join Ferrari.

Now, after the Dutchman’s victory at the Saudi Arabian GP, Horner has broken his silence on all the rumors and confirmed that he has no doubts about Verstappen’s commitment. Horner stated that Verstappen is functioning effectively within the team. He seems comfortable in the box and demonstrates a sense of calm.

On Friday, Max Verstappen vigorously defended his mentor when confronted with rumors that Austrian driver Helmut Marko could be suspended from the team. Red Bull was reportedly investigating a supposed leak of evidence related to the investigation of Horner and Marko’s involvement in it.

The 26-year-old Dutchman, who had Marko overseeing his career, was explicit in expressing his feelings. Verstappen stated: “I have great respect for Helmut and acknowledge our achievements together.” We have a long history together. Verstappen’s loyalty is unwavering and he always informs everyone in the team, including the higher-ups, that Marko plays a key role in his decisions about the team’s future.

As it is a collaborative effort and it is imperative to keep key people, he and everyone else must stay with the team, he stated. However, with all the turmoil surrounding the Red Bull paddock, it will be intriguing to see which key figures will depart from Red Bull in the near future. Several important characters in the Red Bull box may bid farewell to the team.
