Ken Block passed away in 2023 following a snowmobile accident, but the former American driver and founder of Hoonigan owned a vast collection of radical models and participated in various competitions driving vehicles with a rich sporting history.
Among the most radical models used by Ken Block is the Hoonitruck, the pickup truck featured by the driver in the Gymkhana 10 and Climbkhana 2 videos, which is based on the 1977 Ford F-150 but features a modified chassis, larger wheel arches, a cut cargo bed, and a spoiler on the tailgate, complemented by “beadlock” wheels from Fifteen52.
To power this super pickup, an engine was installed that, according to Block, was used during the development phase of the Ford GT, a 3.5-liter Ecoboost V6 with 914 horsepower, which is coupled to a sequential gearbox that transmits power to all four wheels through a custom all-wheel-drive system.
Note also the cutouts on the hood that reveal the turbochargers, along with a unique 3D air intake designed specifically for Block’s pickup by Ford.
This “monster” of the asphalt will be auctioned by the American company, Barrett Jackson, from January 18 to 26, which has not provided an estimate on the value for which the Hoonitruck may be sold. However, it is expected that Ken Block’s radical pickup could exceed €1 million at this auction.
