Honda Racing Corporation Unleashes Thrilling Partnership with Chip Ganassi Racing at Barber

Five Indianapolis 500-winning cars acquired by the IMS Museum from Chip Ganassi Racing sit Thursday, April 24, 2025, in front of the museum after an unveiling. The five include Juan Pablo Montoya’s 2000 Indianapolis 500 winner, Scott Dixon’s 2008 winner, Dario Franchitti’s 2010 and 2012 winners, and Marcus Ericsson’s 2022 winner.

IndyCar Sensation: Palou Unveils Striking HRC Livery at Barber Motorsports Park

In a groundbreaking collaboration between Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) and Chip Ganassi Racing, the upcoming Children’s of Alabama Indy Grand Prix at Barber Motorsports Park is set to witness a visual spectacle with Alex Palou behind the wheel of the No. 10 Honda donning the iconic HRC colors.

This unique partnership marks a rare occasion where an IndyCar team and an engine partner unite in a promotional endeavor, showcasing the 2.2-liter twin-turbo V6 engines by HRC. The striking red, white, and blue livery adorning Palou’s car is a nod to the crossover event held in Las Vegas last November, where HRC showcased its design across various racing disciplines.

Not just a cosmetic collaboration, but a strategic move by HRC to expand its reach beyond the racetrack. With the development of HRC-themed components for Honda road cars, the partnership with Chip Ganassi Racing and Alex Palou aims to elevate awareness about HRC’s broader offerings, including their new performance parts business.

Excitement is palpable as HRC President David Salters expressed, “We are excited to be the primary partner on the No. 10 CGR Honda at Barber Motorsports Park. Alex Palou has done an incredible job, and to kick off this 2025 season with him carrying the HRC branding is a fantastic opportunity for visibility around our brand.”

Chip Ganassi Racing has a storied history with Honda since their inaugural IndyCar season in 1996, which saw them clinch their first Drivers’ championship with Jimmy Vasser. Despite not being exclusively tied to Honda since then, the partnership has yielded 14 IndyCar titles and four Indianapolis 500 victories, including Marcus Ericsson’s triumph in 2022.

Team owner Chip Ganassi remarked, “Over the years, we have had many successes working with Honda, winning multiple championships and Indianapolis 500s. We are looking forward to partnering with them at Barber on the No. 10, and hope Alex and the team will continue their successful start to the year.”

As the stage is set for Palou to showcase the HRC colors at Barber Motorsports Park, the racing world eagerly anticipates the visual spectacle and the performance that comes with this dynamic collaboration between Chip Ganassi Racing and Honda Racing Corporation.
