Honda apresenta o CR-V elétrico plug-in com pilha de hidrogénio

Honda presented the new CR-V e:FCEV production model, a new plug-in electric SUV with hydrogen fuel cell, in a world premiere.

With the introduction of the CR-V e:FCEV, Honda will be the first Japanese automaker to launch a FCEV model with “plug-in” charging function, which allows recharging the battery at home and/or during travel, further increasing the convenience of this type of vehicles.

Honda expects the CR-V e:FCEV to offer over 600 km of autonomy with a full hydrogen tank, and the Japanese brand adds that the new model was developed to allow for a short hydrogen refueling time, approximately 3 minutes, thus providing long-distance driving.

The CR-V e:FCEV will be equipped with the fuel cell system co-developed by Honda and General Motors (GM) and produced by their joint-venture company, Fuel Cell System Manufacturing, in Michigan, USA, and will be manufactured at Honda’s factory in Ohio, USA.

Honda also announced that after the introduction of the new plug-in electric SUV with hydrogen fuel cell in Japan, sales in North America are scheduled to begin before the end of 2024.

It should be noted that Honda has set the goal of achieving carbon neutrality for all its products and business activities by 2050 and “zero environmental impact” throughout the product’s lifecycle, including the product and all business activities.
