In a phase of acceleration of its electrification strategy, with the debut of an exclusive platform for a new generation of 100% electric vehicles (e:N Architecture F), part of a program that foresees the launch of 30 new models, Honda is already preparing to say goodbye to its first fully electric car. According to the newspaper Auto Bild, the Honda e will no longer be sold in Europe.
More than just a car, the Honda e stands out as a mobility concept, with various associated services, and all the necessary ingredients to elevate itself to the status of a new style icon in major cities, with a 35.5 kWh battery capacity, offering a maximum range of 211 km. But the overly elitist price positioning (starting from € 43,000) may have hindered such ambitions.
In 2020, only 1,127 units were sold, and only 1,256 were registered in 2021. And these were the two best years for the Honda e. In 2022, the Japanese brand delivered 677 units of the chic city car, and, up until October of this year, 101 units have been sold throughout Europe.
