Xiaomi is preparing a performance version of the new YU7, the 100% electric SUV that the Chinese brand presented at the end of June.
The new model, which is expected to hit the market under the name YU7 GT, has now been “caught” testing on the German Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit, with traditional camouflage paint, by the lens of Chinese blogger Niubei Shehuiren.
The high-performance version of the Xiaomi YU7 was first seen in China, shortly after the presentation of the electric SUV, and stands out for its wide wheel arches, a lower ground clearance than the normal version, 21-inch wheels, and a braking system with carbon-ceramic discs and yellow calipers, similar to those of the SU7 Ultra.
Everything suggests that the new YU7 GT will use the same powertrain as the SU7 Ultra, that is, three electric motors, one on the front axle with 286 hp, and two on the rear axle with 570 hp, for a combined power of 1526 hp, and a maximum torque of 1770 Nm. Powering the three electric motors is a 93.7 kWh NMC Qilin 2.0 battery manufactured by CATL.
