Helmut Marko of Red Bull made a breathtaking promise to Yuki Tsunoda after a difficult qualifying day at the Belgian GP. Despite Tsunoda’s difficulties, Marko remains hopeful and believes there is something to work with with his performance.

The Japanese driver had yet another disappointing moment as he failed to make it out of the sprint qualifying’s second stage and lined up in 12th on the grid at Spa. Marko was nonetheless confident that Tsunoda is getting better and is now brimming up in the top 10 closet.

Marko boldly stated that if Tsunoda could get through the sprint race without incident, he would be awarded some new parts for his car. This statement seems to put an extra degree of pressure on Tsunoda for him to consistently perform well in the race.

At the same time, Marko spoke highly of Tsunoda’s development and told him to take the momentum into the race. The Red Bull advisor expressed he sees racecraft in Tsunoda but again pointed out he needs to deliver decent laps throughout the most of the weekend.

Tsunoda missed out on receiving the most recent upgrades for his car, but Marko’s promise of new parts should give him a little more motivation to drive harder and show he is adaptable enough on the weekends. With the next excitement, all eyes will be on Yuki Tsunoda in the sprint to see if he can deliver a worthy attempt to earn in newly earned equipment.
