Red Bull’s Helmut Marko Criticizes Yuki Tsunoda for Making Errors Under Pressure

Renowned Red Bull advisor, Helmut Marko, has not held back in his assessment of the recent Grand Prix. In a candid interview with Oe24, the Austrian shared his thoughts on the team’s performance in Miami, highlighting areas of improvement and commendation for other drivers.

Marko expressed concerns about Red Bull’s speed in Miami, acknowledging Max Verstappen’s talent but also recognizing the incredible pace of McLaren and Mercedes. He emphasized the need for the team to push harder and bring in new parts for the upcoming race in Imola to close the gap with their rivals.

Despite Yuki Tsunoda scoring his first point for Red Bull, Marko was critical of the young driver’s performance under pressure. He noted Tsunoda’s improvement but pointed out that errors are still a persistent issue for him during crucial moments in races.

In contrast, Marko praised Oscar Piastri for his composure and determination on the track, as well as Isack Hadjar for his strong showing despite narrowly missing out on his first point.

With tensions high and competition fierce, Red Bull faces a challenging road ahead as they strive to keep up with McLaren and Mercedes. Will the team’s efforts to enhance performance pay off in Imola? Only time will tell in this thrilling Formula 1 season.
