Helmut Marko ignora Max Verstappen e Sergio Perez ao selecionar a ‘dupla de pilotos top’ na Fórmula 1.

In the world of Formula 1, Helmut Marko, a prominent figure at Red Bull, ranked the driver duo Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez below another young duo on the track. Verstappen and Perez have been exceptional for Red Bull in the past two seasons, with impressive results in the 2023 drivers’ championship. Despite their achievements, Marko has a different opinion and does not consider them the best driver duo.

Marko is known for being frank and critical of Red Bull and its team. However, it is widely recognized that Verstappen and Perez form a strong driver duo. Their ability to race without conflicts and drive safely alongside each other is commendable. Therefore, Marko’s decision to overlook them as the best driver duo in Formula 1 was unexpected.

Instead, Marko believes that Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, both drivers for McLaren, form the best driver duo on the track. He attributes this to the young age of both drivers and their determination to excel in the pinnacle of motorsport. Additionally, Norris and Piastri have a good relationship and work well together at McLaren.

On the other hand, Red Bull’s performance has been weak at the start of the 2024 season. Pierre Gasly, who drives the VCARB01, has struggled to perform well and is overshadowed by his teammate. Despite this, Gasly recently signed a contract extension with the team due to his overall performance.

Marko has noticed a significant change in Yuki Tsunoda’s character since joining Formula 1. The 24-year-old driver has shown a notable improvement in terms of development and has managed to minimize his mistakes on the track. Additionally, Tsunoda’s young age played a role in the team’s decision to extend his contract with Faenza for another year.

Despite his old age, Helmut Marko continues to be involved with the Red Bull family. He has resolved his issues with Gasly and hopes that the team will regain its dominant form. The competition in Formula 1 has become more exciting as the top teams are getting closer in terms of performance.
