Helmut Marko Decisively Declares Max Verstappen Out of F1 Championship Battle

SPA, BELGIUM - JULY 25: Max Verstappen of the Netherlands and Oracle Red Bull Racing talks with Dr Helmut Marko, Team Consultant of Oracle Red Bull Racing in the garage during practice ahead of the F1 Grand Prix of Belgium at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps on July 25, 2025 in Spa, Belgium. Red Bull Advisor Drops Bombshell Verdict on Max Verstappen’s F1 Title Hopes!

In a shocking turn of events, Helmut Marko, the Red Bull advisor, has delivered a crushing blow to Max Verstappen’s chances in the F1 drivers’ championship race. Despite the lingering possibility of a fifth consecutive title for Verstappen, Marko has definitively ruled him out of the running for this year’s championship crown.

With only 14 out of 24 rounds completed, the 27-year-old finds himself a staggering 97 points behind Oscar Piastri in the title chase. To make matters worse, Verstappen would need to outscore Piastri by nearly 10 points per round for the rest of the season to have a shot at the championship. And let’s not forget about Lando Norris, Verstappen’s McLaren teammate, who is comfortably leading the pack with an 88-point advantage over the Dutch driver.

In a stunning show of support for Marko’s decision, over three-quarters of F1 fans have concurred with his assessment that Verstappen is no longer a significant contender in the championship battle. The latest poll conducted by RacingNews365 reflects the sentiment among fans, raising the question: Is Helmut Marko justified in writing off Max Verstappen’s F1 title defense?

The verdict is out, and the F1 world is abuzz with speculation and debate. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.
