Helmut Marko acredita que Max Verstappen será o diferencial para a Red Bull.

Red Bull faces unexpected challenges in the 2024 season. The team has already suffered defeats in three of the eight races so far. Therefore, the Milton Keynes team is eager to turn things around and start winning convincingly. They anticipate that results will improve in the near future, but if they fail to do so, it could lead to problems.

Red Bull’s recent difficulties have been attributed to the departure of a specific individual. Additionally, there were suspicions that the team downplayed feedback about a simulator data error in their car. However, the team heavily relies on Max Verstappen to deliver exceptional results. Helmut Marko emphasized that even on tracks where the team faces challenges, the “Max Verstappen factor” will allow them to triumph.

Furthermore, the octogenarian praised Verstappen’s skills at the highest level of motorsport. Marko stated that the Dutch driver is currently in his best form and makes a significant difference on the track. According to him, no other driver on the grid can drive like Verstappen, avoiding errors.

Verstappen is often considered a driver who rarely makes mistakes. However, the Monaco Grand Prix was an exception as he struggled to gain much ground on his rivals. The narrow streets of the Monte Carlo circuit presented additional challenges for the 26-year-old driver. Marko mentioned that the RB20 car had difficulty navigating the curbs, while the Ferrari managed to handle them much better.

However, the blame for the defeat in Monaco cannot be solely attributed to Max Verstappen. The current world champion did his best to gain any advantage, but the “nervous RB20” caused him to make several mistakes and miss opportunities. Therefore, the team will address these issues and work to resolve them in the future.

Max Verstappen will continue to provide valuable feedback on the car and its issues. The Dutch driver does not hesitate to express his frustrations to the team during race weekends. As a result, Red Bull will need to introduce several upgrades during the season to maintain its advantage against Ferrari and McLaren. It is expected that the top teams will close in on the battle for the world championship.
