The Red Bull Motorsport Consultant, Dr. Helmut Marko, stated that Milton Keynes is not concerned about competitors reducing the gap to the RB20. Red Bull Racing has been dominant in Formula 1 since the start of the ground effect era in 2022. Max Verstappen has won consecutive world championships. However, this year Milton Keynes has faced strong competition from Ferrari and McLaren. However, Marko stated that the Austrian team is not worried at this time.

Marko acknowledged that rival teams have made progress against Red Bull throughout this season. However, the octogenarian stated that Milton Keynes was not particularly anxious about the situation. Verstappen achieved an extraordinary victory at the Canadian GP last weekend.

Marko emphasized that Red Bull will introduce additional updates to the RB20 in the upcoming races. The Austrian stated that the future package showed promise based on the data obtained at the factory. Verstappen recently mentioned that Milton Keynes is tirelessly working to solve the car’s issues this year.

The 2024 grid witnessed fierce competition for race wins. Ferrari has already achieved two victories this season, while McLaren secured one. Additionally, Mercedes seemed capable of winning the Canadian GP after considering the race a missed opportunity for the Silver Arrows.

Marko argued that this situation provided Red Bull with an advantage, as the other three teams were involved in their own battles. The octogenarian highlighted that the Austrian team did not have a single opponent, but rather the three teams were taking points off each other in the fight against the current world champions.

Undoubtedly, Red Bull remains the favorite for the 2024 F1 World Championship title thanks to Max Verstappen. However, the upcoming updates from the Austrian team must deliver if Milton Keynes hopes to maintain its advantage throughout the season. Fans will certainly be eager to see how things unfold for Verstappen’s team in the upcoming races.
