Helmut Marko admite que a impressionante sequência de Max Verstappen na qualificação pode terminar no GP de Miami.

Max Verstappen has been an untamed beast throughout the 2024 Formula 1 season. The 2024 Formula 1 season has seen the three-time world champion continue his dominant streak. The Dutchman emerged victorious in four out of five races this season and, had it not been for his mechanical issues in Australia, he would have likely achieved a perfect sweep.

Max Verstappen also recently became the first F1 driver to secure five pole positions in the first five races of a season and seems to be in exceptional form on Saturdays. However, Red Bull’s advisor believes that his driver’s impressive Saturday streak may come to an end at the upcoming event in Miami.

Max Verstappen has been exceptionally quick in his RB20 this year. The octogenarian revealed how different track surfaces affect the RB20 and how this could hinder Verstappen’s performance in qualifying. Only time will tell how the three-time world champion’s Saturday performance will unfold during the Miami GP weekend.

In the first five rounds of the ongoing campaign, the Red Bull’s 2024 title contender RB20 appears to be the superior car by a significant margin. The car shows no weaknesses and has performed very well on all types of tracks that the various teams have raced on this year.

The only setback for the RB20 came during the Australian GP weekend, when Max Verstappen had to retire due to mechanical issues and struggled to keep up with the pace of the Ferraris and McLarens. Following that, Helmut Marko revealed that different track surfaces cause tire wear issues for the dominant RB20.

The Austrian also explained how the various track surfaces quickly affect the RB20 tires and how his team needs to address and solve this issue. Currently, the RB20 looks flawless, but Marko’s analysis is certainly something fans will find intriguing.

Furthermore, there are still 19 rounds left on the calendar and it is in Red Bull’s best interest to promptly resolve their tire wear issues. Ferrari is in pursuit and, therefore, Horner and the team cannot afford to make any mistakes.
