Helmut Marko aborda seu papel na polêmica da mensagens.

Christian Horner, team leader, was caught off guard by rumors of Marko’s suspension.

In a conversation with Austrian broadcaster ORF, Helmut Marko expressed his autonomy in decision-making in the face of speculation about his position at Red Bull.

Marko emphasized: “I will say this, it is difficult to evaluate or, let’s say, in the end, I will determine for myself what I do.

“The theoretical possibility always exists.”

He also stressed the importance of unity and focus within the Red Bull team, especially in light of the challenges of the upcoming 24-race world championship.

“I think it’s such a complex issue.

“Again, we want harmony in the team.

“This world championship will be challenging enough with 24 races and we have to focus on that,” Marko stated.

A meeting between Marko and Oliver Mintzlaff, Red Bull’s director, took place at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, alleviating concerns about Marko’s future with the team.

This discussion ensured Marko’s continuity in his role as a consultant, honoring his three-year contract with Red Bull.

Christian Horner, team leader, was caught off guard by rumors of Marko’s suspension.

He clarified the situation as an internal matter between Marko and Red Bull GmbH, noting that the team was not involved in the discussions.

Horner highlighted his long-standing relationship with Marko, dating back to 1996, and praised Marko’s enduring passion for Formula 1.

“I have known Helmut since 1996 and he has played an important role over the years.

“That role has evolved over the years. I have known him for a very, very long time.

“At 81 years old, he is still obviously motivated by Formula 1, which is a positive thing,” Horner said.

Addressing the controversy surrounding leaked messages, Marko firmly denied any involvement. “Total nonsense.”

“I am really happy when I have my iPhone more or less under control.”

“I did not see that report or any of those conversations.”

“I deliberately stayed out of it,” he said, rejecting the accusations and emphasizing his lack of involvement in the matter.
