Lewis Hamilton’s Frustration Boils Over After Disappointing Spanish GP Finish
The seven-time world champion, Lewis Hamilton, expressed his disappointment following a lackluster performance at the Spanish Grand Prix. Despite starting in fifth place and gaining one position at the start of the race, Hamilton struggled to keep up with the frontrunners, ultimately finishing in sixth place.
Hamilton’s woes were compounded when he was overtaken by Charles Leclerc after Ferrari instructed him to make way for his teammate. A slow pit stop further demoted Hamilton to sixth place, behind George Russell. The British driver’s troubles continued as he was even passed by Nico Hulkenberg’s Sauber after the deployment of the Safety Car due to Antonelli’s retirement.
Throughout the race, Hamilton voiced his dissatisfaction with the handling of his Ferrari, radioing to his team, “Unbelievable guys, there was something wrong with this car. It has never been this bad.” Despite crossing the finish line in seventh place, Hamilton was promoted to sixth following a penalty to Max Verstappen.
For the reigning champion, the underwhelming result in Spain was far from his expectations for the 2025 season. Hamilton, known for his competitive spirit, will undoubtedly be seeking redemption in the upcoming races to regain his winning form and challenge for the top positions on the grid.
