Hamilton Faces Ferrari Nightmare: “This Is Not Why I Joined!”

In an agonizing turn of events at the São Paulo Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton’s first season with Ferrari has spiraled into chaos, leaving fans and pundits alike questioning the future of the seven-time world champion. After a series of catastrophic performances, Hamilton’s latest outing has been labeled a “nightmare,” with British racing star Jamie Chadwick stepping up to defend him amidst the increasing turmoil surrounding the iconic team.

Hamilton, who is celebrated as an honorary citizen of Brazil, came into the race with high hopes but instead faced a disheartening reality when he failed to qualify in the top 10 for the Sprint race. Though he managed to claw back two points, the situation grew more dire during the main race. Starting from a shocking 13th place on the grid, Hamilton’s performance was marred by a disastrous opening lap where he collided with Franco Colapinto, leading to significant damage to his SF-25.

Ferrari’s decision to retire Hamilton from the race after initial attempts to continue only added to the growing frustration. “Yeah, that race couldn’t have gone much worse,” Chadwick lamented in a candid interview with Sky F1. She pointed out that Hamilton’s position was far from what fans have come to expect from a driver of his caliber, emphasizing, “It’s not why he joined Ferrari,” a sentiment that resonates with many who have followed his illustrious career.

The 40-year-old racing legend’s struggles in the midfield have raised eyebrows, and his dejected demeanor post-race painted a stark picture of a man battling not just his rivals, but also the weight of expectations that come with driving for a team as storied as Ferrari. “It’s not what you would have wanted coming to a track like this that he’s gone so well at, knows so well,” Chadwick noted, encapsulating the disappointment felt by Hamilton and his supporters.

As the season progresses, the question looms larger: Can Hamilton overcome these obstacles and return to the top, or will his Ferrari experience continue to be a series of setbacks? One thing is for certain—fans are eagerly watching to see if the driver they admire can reclaim his glory or if this season will forever be remembered as a turbulent chapter in his legendary career.
