Electric mobility is indeed here to stay, and the president of Contemporary Amperex Technology (CATL), a Chinese battery manufacturer, has now revealed that half of the heavy truck sales in China could be electric vehicles by 2028.

CATL recently announced that it has put into production a 60-gigawatt-hour energy storage base and battery production for electric vehicles in Shandong, its first facility of this kind in northern China.
A second and third phase of the project will advance in the next two years, forming a battery cluster for the energy industry in what is one of the largest investments in the region, as announced by CATL on the social network “WeChat.”
