Hadjar Thrills in Las Vegas: “Grip Better Than I Expected!”
In an electrifying start to the Las Vegas Grand Prix weekend, Isack Hadjar of Racing Bulls has emerged with promising results that are sending ripples through the paddock! After completing both practice sessions in the top 10, Hadjar’s confidence is soaring as he gears up for what could be a pivotal moment in the 2025 championship.
The first day of practice saw Hadjar clinch a remarkable fifth place in the second session, clocking a personal best time of 1:33.893. “We started the weekend quite well here in Las Vegas,” Hadjar exclaimed, clearly buoyed by the performance. “It’s been less tricky than I thought; I believe the track conditions are likely better than last year. The overall grip is better than I expected, and I found the right rhythm right from FP1.”
Despite some hiccups, including teammate Liam Lawson finishing 13th in the first practice and facing challenges in the second session due to track issues, Hadjar’s glowing assessment stands out. “Although we haven’t logged many long runs, our short runs today were quite good, which is fantastic heading into qualifying tomorrow. We know it’s going to be tough, but as always, our goal is to reach Q3,” he added with determination.
However, not all is perfect in the Racing Bulls camp. While Hadjar is optimistic, Lawson’s sentiments tell a different story. “I’m hopeful after today’s sessions,” Lawson stated, acknowledging the struggles faced during FP1 and the disrupted FP2. “We didn’t all manage to complete our laps in the second session, so we need to be aware that we might not be exactly where we want to be. The main thing is we’re in a much better position than we started today.”
With the threat of rain looming—an unexpected drizzle that made the track slippery and challenging—Lawson expressed concern about tomorrow’s conditions. “If it rains again, it’s going to be very tough,” he warned, highlighting the precarious nature of racing in Las Vegas. Yet, both drivers are resolute in their commitment to push their vehicles to the limit, ensuring they are ready for whatever the weather—and the competition—throws their way.
As the excitement builds for the next qualifying rounds, all eyes will be on Hadjar and Racing Bulls to see if they can translate this early momentum into a spectacular performance on the track. The stakes are high, and the Las Vegas Grand Prix promises to deliver drama, speed, and the fierce competition fans crave. Stay tuned as this thrilling race weekend unfolds!
