Ferdinand Habsburg, currently recovering from an injury sustained in a test accident, is included in the list of 37 cars participating in the FIA World Endurance Championship, at the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. Alpine’s driver, #35, was replaced by reserve driver Jules Gounon during the recent 6 Hours of Imola, the second round of the WEC 2024. Habsburg, while recovering, is still listed by Alpine for his expected return to racing activities.

Additionally, the conflict with the Formula E (FE) double-header in Berlin has resulted in changes to the list of drivers who have chosen to compete in the FE. Andretti FE’s driver, Norman Nato, will not participate in the race, leaving the JOTA Porsche #12 to be driven by Will Stevens and Callum Ilott. The Peugeot 9X8 #93 competitor will be driven by Mikkel Jensen and Nico Muller, as Jean-Eric Vergne will represent the DS Penske team of the Stellantis brand. The other Hypercar, #94, will also be driven by two drivers, with Stoffel Vandoorne focusing on single-seaters, and Paul di Resta and Loic Duval taking on driving duties.

Cadillac Racing will continue to feature the driver duo of Earl Bamber and Alex Lynn, with the IMSA round at Laguna Seca coinciding with the WEC Imola and IMSA Long Beach events for the Chip Ganassi team. As announced in Imola, Rahel Frey will take over Dorianne Pin’s place for the remainder of the calendar, excluding the 24 Hours of Le Mans, as Pin will be busy with the Iron Dames’ new FRECA program. Another change in the LMGT3 driver list will see Toyota GAZOO Racing’s reserve driver, Ritoma Miyata, replacing Kelvin van der Linde in the Akoddis ASP team’s Lexus RC F GT3 for Spa, while van der Linde focuses on FE with the ABT Cupra team.
