New rumors have emerged in the Formula 1 paddock regarding the future of the Red Bull’s secondary team – now named Visa Cash App RB F1 Team. Speculation points to Günther Steiner as a possible buyer of the Faenza team, but Helmut Marko has already denied that this is a possible scenario.

The Italian stepped down from his role as team principal at Haas earlier this year and has not yet embarked on any new projects in F1 – although he is a regular presence in the paddock as a TV commentator. According to as-web.jp, Steiner is looking for a current team owner to acquire their share and has already found an investor. RB would be one of the targeted teams.

On the other hand, the former Haas boss has rejected returning to active duty in a project that is not successful: ‘I have spent so many years in F1 that I want to do more than just participate and score points occasionally. I really want to try to compete and try to win. I won’t come back just to manage a team if I don’t have that opportunity’.

Meanwhile, Red Bull consultant Helmut Marko has already denied that Steiner or anyone else could buy RB, stating to Kleine Zeitung that the team is not for sale: ‘I really don’t understand where these things keep coming from. Everything has been clarified and resolved with the shareholders’.
