The Government will approve on Friday, in the Council of Ministers, a support of €4000 for the purchase of a light electric passenger vehicle costing up to €38,500, with the obligation to scrap the current one.

This measure is part of the Green Mobility Package, aimed at improving the mobility of passengers and goods, which the Government will approve.

According to “RTP”, the document accessed by “Lusa” outlines a total support of €20 million for the acquisition of zero-emission vehicles, which can include light passenger vehicles, electric and conventional bicycles, motorcycles, mobility devices, and electric vehicle chargers.

In the case of light passenger vehicles, the €4000 contribution can be increased to €5000 per vehicle if it is intended for use by private social solidarity institutions (IPSS). However, the support requires the scrapping of the current light passenger vehicle.
