Campanha “Cinto-me vivo” regista mais de 11 mil infrações numa semana

The National Road Safety Authority (ANSR), the National Republican Guard (GNR), and the Public Security Police (PSP) will carry out the “Travel without haste” Road Safety Campaign from Tuesday, January 16th, until the next day, 22nd, on national roads.

The campaign, which is part of the 2024 National Inspection Plan, aims to alert drivers to the risks of speeding, as it is one of the main causes of accidents on the roads and is responsible for more than 60% of recorded violations.

Therefore, in order to contribute to the reduction of the risk of accidents and to promote safer behaviors among drivers regarding speeding, the “Travel without haste” campaign will include an awareness component, carried out by ANSR, as well as inspection operations by GNR and PSP, with a special focus on roads and access points with high traffic flow.

The awareness actions will take place simultaneously with inspection operations in the following locations:

January 16th, at 08:00: EN379 – Maçã – KM 13+000, Sesimbra;

January 17th, at 13:30: Av. Infante Dom Henrique, after Av. Marechal Gomes da Costa and Decathlon, and before reaching the roundabout to access Av. Marechal António Spínola – Lisbon;

January 18th, at 08:00: Roundabout Access A21 – Malveira;

January 19th, at 08:00: Rua António Sérgio – Santo António dos Cavaleiros;

January 22nd, at 08:00: A33 – Decreasing direction – Km 0 – Rotunda das Casas Velhas – Almada.
