The GNR warned this Wednesday of a new mobile phone scam attempt, whose sender falsely presents himself as “ANSR-COIMAS”.
Through social media, the GNR indicates that the message sent via mobile phone informs the recipient that their driver’s license is scheduled for seizure with point loss. To avoid this, an entity, reference, and payment amount are provided.
“This is a FALSE message with illicit intent,” warns the GNR, also emphasizing that “if you receive this message, do not make the payment”, and further stating that “if you are a victim of fraud or know someone who has been, report it!”
Remember that in recent times, the National Road Safety Authority (ANSR) has warned of a wave of fraudulent messages sent by email and SMS.
