In the year in which it celebrates 125 years, Fiat announced that it recorded positive half-yearly sales results, solidifying its status as the leading brand of Stellantis in terms of volumes.
With over 660,200 units sold globally, the brand achieved a 2.2% increase compared to the same period last year.
By regions, the Italian brand recorded a significant increase in volumes in North America, with a growth of 24%, driven by the initial deliveries of the Fiat 500e.
In Europe, the brand ensured its market dominance, particularly in Italy, with 95,779 units sold, a 2% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
The Fiat Panda, produced in Pomigliano, continues to be the best-selling vehicle in Italy, with over 63,500 units sold, reflecting a 21% growth compared to the previous year. The Fiat 500 hybrid occupies the second position in the A segment with 14,700 registrations, second only to the Panda. The Fiat 500e leads its segment with a market share of 27%, and the 600e is also one of the main competitors in the B-SUV BEV segment with a market share of 11%.
In other European countries, Fiat’s passenger car sales also increased: +7.6% in France, +5.5% in the Netherlands, and +15.1% in Portugal.
Among the best-selling models, the Fiat 500e continues to perform well in the segments of city and compact BEV vehicles (A+B – non-SUV), ranking among the top five in Europe and in the largest markets: Germany (1st), Italy and France (2nd), Spain (3rd), and the United Kingdom (4th).
In the Middle East and Africa (MEA) market, the Italian brand recorded a 7.6% sales growth in the first half of 2024, benefiting from the sales of the Fiat Doblò in Algeria, the Tipo in Turkey, as well as the Fiat 600e and the Topolino in Morocco. It is worth noting that the Topolino saw a significant 23% increase in sales compared to the previous year.
In the Commercial Vehicles segment, Fiat Professional grew globally by 15%, with increases of 69% in Asia-Pacific, 54% in the Middle East and Africa, and 10% in South America.
