Max Verstappen was the clear dominator of Formula 1 this year, obtaining 19 victories in 22 Grand Prix races. In fact, only in one race – the Singapore GP – did one of the Red Bull drivers not win. It was a one-way season and Gian Carlo Minardi fears that the same will happen again in 2024.
The former owner of Minardi told La Gazzetta dello Sport that the indicators point to Red Bull and Verstappen being out of reach again next year:
– Everyone says yes, that they will be reachable. But I would wait a bit to say it. They have an advantage that I think is difficult to achieve at this time. Because analyzing carefully the races of this year, I have the idea that [Max] Verstappen never allowed us to see the extent of his possibilities. And this does not give us much hope. And then I receive the news from England that their 2024 car is even better’.
