In a shocking turn of events, F1 sensation George Russell is facing a harsh reality as rumors swirl about his future with Mercedes. The 27-year-old driver has reportedly been engaging in discussions with rival teams as his contract with Mercedes is set to expire at the end of the 2025 season. With the possibility of Max Verstappen, a four-time champion, making a move to Mercedes, Russell finds himself in a precarious position.
Renowned broadcaster Martin Brundle has raised doubts about Russell’s confidence in being offered a new deal by Mercedes. Russell has accused Verstappen of being a ‘bully’, further fueling the animosity between the two competitors. The recent incident at the Canadian GP, where Verstappen was penalized for colliding with Russell, has only intensified the rivalry between the drivers.
