George Russell faces the fiery wrath of Verstappen’s ‘Orange Army’ at Red Bull Ring

In a shocking turn of events in the world of Formula 1, George Russell finds himself at the center of a brewing storm after his controversial actions in the 2025 Canadian Grand Prix against Max Verstappen. The Dutch F1 insider, Jan Bolscher, predicts that payback is on the horizon for Russell, with the Austrian Grand Prix looming large as the stage for retribution.

The tension between Russell and Verstappen escalated during a post-race protest following the Canadian Grand Prix, where Russell’s maneuvers on the track raised eyebrows and tempers flared. The Mercedes driver’s victory in Montreal may have been sweet, but the aftermath spells trouble as he gears up to face Verstappen and his ‘Orange Army’ at the Red Bull Ring.

The Canadian Grand Prix ended in controversy as Russell, in a questionable move, slammed on the brakes allowing Verstappen to briefly pass him under the safety car. The incident sparked outrage among fans and experts, with many labeling Russell’s actions as unnecessary and provocative. Despite Verstappen’s calm demeanor post-race, Red Bull Racing was quick to file not one but two protests against Russell, citing unpredictable driving and unsportsmanlike conduct.

The protests, however, were ultimately rejected by the stewards, clearing Russell of any penalties and allowing him to retain his win. While Russell may have dodged official repercussions, the real test awaits him at the Red Bull Ring, where he will undoubtedly face the wrath of Verstappen’s passionate fan base. As tensions simmer between the two drivers, the stage is set for a dramatic showdown in Austria.

As Russell prepares to confront the ‘Orange Army’ and a resolute Verstappen on home turf, the F1 world braces for a potential rivalry that could reignite the excitement of the current season. With all eyes on the upcoming Austrian Grand Prix, the battle between Russell and Verstappen promises to deliver high-octane drama and intense competition on the track.
