George Russell diz que Mercedes W15 foi feito sob medida para Lewis Hamilton rumo à Ferrari.

George Russell revealed that the new W15 car was specifically designed with the seven-time world champion in mind. This news has caused a major impact in the Formula 1 world, especially because it was recently announced that Russell will join Ferrari in 2025. This season will be Hamilton’s last with Mercedes, and the team is determined to make it a success. After a disappointing previous season, Mercedes made radical changes to the car’s design to correct their mistakes and provide their drivers with a car that will help them compete at the highest level. Russell expressed his confidence in the team’s aerodynamicists and designers to deliver a car that he can maximize on the track. He also highlighted the differences in feedback between him and his teammate, Hamilton, regarding the seat position and the car’s rear stability.

During the off-season, Mercedes made updates to their Formula 1 car, introducing the innovative W15. This car features adjustable front suspension and a front wing made of legality wires. Mercedes stated that the W15 is a significant improvement over their previous cars, the W13 and W14, which were used during the ground effect era of Formula 1 in 2022 and 2023. The team focused on improving the car’s drivability, making it more consistent and reliable on the track.

Before the start of the season, George Russell was asked about any weaknesses that may still exist in the W15. He assured that this year’s car is completely different from its predecessors and any issues that were present before have been resolved. However, he mentioned that brake stability is still a concern, but not as severe as the bouncing issues experienced with the W13 in 2022. Russell trusts in Mercedes’ ability to overcome these challenges and believes that the team will continue to improve the car’s downforce as the season progresses.
