George Russell elogia escolha da FIA de penalizar Fernando Alonso por teste de freio no GP da Austrália.

George Russell suffered a terrible accident on the last lap of the race at Albert Park.

The author supports the decision made by the FIA to penalize Alonso in the Australian GP. Alonso received a 20-second penalty for his dangerous maneuver on the last lap, despite his disagreement. Alonso was disappointed with the penalty, as he believed any racing driver would have done the same thing.

Fernando Alonso tried to increase his speed on the last lap but unexpectedly braked entering turn six. Russell, who was right behind him with the DRS advantage, got caught in his turbulent air, resulting in a crash.

The British driver left the race without any injuries but was surprised by the events that unfolded during his battle on the last lap with Alonso.

George Russell made it clear that he holds no grudge against the Spaniard. He believes that what happens on the track should not affect their relationship off it. Furthermore, he believes that the penalty given to Alonso was necessary considering the potential consequences in the future.

After facing two retirements in Australia, Mercedes finds itself in a challenging situation. The car is facing serious bouncing issues, along with other problems. The drivers are dissatisfied with both the team and their own mistakes on the track.

Currently, there is a lack of downforce in certain areas that require high speeds. Despite the chaos at Mercedes, George Russell believes it is too early to draw conclusions.

The British driver was at the team’s headquarters in Brackley, trying to understand the issues with the W15 car. However, he is also focused on his own performance and areas where he can improve. Mercedes still has a long way to go this season, but we hope they solve their problems soon and make a strong comeback.
