George Russell descreve as redes sociais como uma “arma de dois gumes” após receber críticas online negativas.

George Russell responded to the criticism he received online after the Canadian GP. Fans of Mercedes took to social media to express their dissatisfaction, with George Russell being the target of negativity. However, his teammate, [teammate’s name], came to his defense, stating that Russell does not deserve this criticism and that he is not the sole culprit.

Addressing the negative comments he faced, George Russell acknowledged that this was the first time he experienced such online negativity directed at him. He described social media as a “double-edged sword,” explaining that while it offers many positive aspects such as funny content and updated information, it also brings criticism and negative comments, especially for race drivers and celebrities. Russell expressed his surprise at this situation, emphasizing that anyone in the spotlight will likely face similar negativity.

Although he does not frequently check his social media accounts, George Russell assures that his own account is managed by him and his team. All the content, captions, and messages posted on his behalf are created by Russell himself, as he wants them to accurately represent his thoughts and feelings.

Lewis Hamilton, a seven-time world champion, showed his support for George Russell during this challenging time. Hamilton expressed the belief that people should receive support rather than negativity from others, and Russell agreed with this sentiment. While he may not have personally seen all the negative comments, Russell acknowledged that he had heard about them. He recognized that it is never pleasant to encounter such negativity, but unfortunately, it is a reality of the world we live in, especially for those who are famous.

George Russell understands that facing negativity has become a normal part of current reality. However, he believes that drivers should receive support instead of negativity in order to consistently perform well during races, benefiting themselves and their teams.
