Genesis mostra o Vision Gran Turismo destinado ao mundo virtual

Genesis continues to surprise its fans with models developed by Hyundai’s luxury brand exclusively for the Gran Turismo video game.

The latest model in this saga is the Genesis X Gran Racer Vision Gran Turismo Concept, a model that will be presented at the 2024 Busan Motor Show in South Korea, which starts on Friday, and which is nothing more than a radical version of the Genesis X Gran Berlinetta Concept, revealed at the end of 2023.

The new sports car designed for the virtual world stands out for its muscular aerodynamic package, with a generous carbon fiber rear wing that integrates the vertical lights, along with large air intakes at the front, as well as a single windshield wiper, and a grille surrounded by two luminous lines, which the brand says are inspired by the X Trilogy Concept, extending back from the front wheel arches.

This Genesis concept is equipped with a hybrid powertrain, combining a V6 combustion engine with 870 hp and 1070 Nm of torque, with a front-mounted electric motor delivering 670 hp and 305 Nm of torque. Therefore, the combined power is an impressive 1540 hp and 1420 Nm of maximum torque.

However, these numbers mean little as the model in question is destined for the virtual world and in the real world there will only be a model for static display.

The new Genesis X Gran Racer Vision Gran Turismo Concept comes with an orange body paint, the striking color of the Magma range, a new Genesis sub-brand of high-performance vehicles.

True to its competition-focused design, the interior of the X Gran Racer VGT Concept showcases structural elements that minimize weight while emphasizing its main focus. This includes control buttons incorporated into a structural divider installed under the instrument panel, a fully integrated protective cage, and a safety bar behind the headrests.

It is worth noting that the steering wheel has been replaced by a Yoke, which Genesis says provides intuitive control and immediate access to essential racing functions for drivers.

Genesis has not yet announced the date when the new X Gran Racer Vision Gran Turismo Concept will be available to Gran Turismo video game players.
