With this step, the two companies aim to enhance human-machine interaction for smart driving, as well as promote the adoption of AI in the automotive sector, particularly in the new generations of cutting-edge smart vehicles.
It is worth noting that Geely launched its AI model, Xingrui, on January 11, claiming it to be the “first major internally developed AI model applied in multiple scenarios”. The technology includes three main models: language, multimodal, and digital twin.
The partnership between Geely and DeepSeek reflects a growing trend in the Chinese automotive industry, which aims to enhance the competitiveness of new energy vehicles through cloud computing and AI. It is important to remember that Geely had already announced its “Smart Geely 2025” strategy, which aims to accelerate the implementation of technologies such as end-to-end voice interaction, digital chassis with AI, and advanced autonomous driving.
