Gasly mira objetivo da Alpine antes de negociações de contrato na F1.

Pierre Gasly from France, a member of the Alpine F1 team, expressed his desire to see the team address its challenges in 2024 before making a decision about his future in Formula 1. Alpine was already expecting a tough start to the season due to the overhaul of the car concept in their A524 model. However, the team was surprised when both their cars qualified at the back of the grid in Bahrain, leading to technical structure revisions. Gasly, speaking at the launch of the new Alpine car, remains optimistic that the Enstone-based team can fulfill their aspirations of competing for championships. Despite his contract expiring at the end of the season, Gasly does not believe that Alpine’s difficulties have made it harder for him to prove his worth to other teams. He emphasized that regardless of his contractual situation, being at the back of the grid and unable to compete with desired rivals is a frustrating position. Gasly acknowledged that progressing in his career may be challenging in this situation, but he remains hopeful and believes that time will reveal the true outcome.

The former Red Bull driver states that Alpine must demonstrate their ability to address their weaknesses before the next regulatory review to persuade him to stay.

“For me, the most crucial aspect is understanding why we are not competitive enough and how to improve the car’s performance,” he stated.

“A significant change in regulations is on the horizon in 2026, and it is important to understand how to build a car, progress, implement effective improvements, and maximize the potential of the current package, especially for the 2026 season.”

Currently in his second year with the Anglo-French team, Gasly detailed his increased involvement with the team as he strives to contribute to their resurgence.

“I am fully committed and giving my best because I witness the immense dedication of the team members, and we all share the desire to be competitive,” he added.

“Sometimes, I can be quite demanding and seek answers, but what I appreciate is that they are increasingly taking the initiative and seeking solutions on their own. I am someone who always strives and seeks improvements in all aspects.”

“However, I also have high expectations for the people I collaborate with, and I am pleased to see that they are embracing this mindset. In challenging times, we dig deeper and discover hidden potential.”
