The Chinese group GAC took advantage of its presence at Milan Design Week to introduce the Hyper SSR supercar to Europe, a 100% electric model with over 1000 hp of power.

The model, which was already launched in China at the end of 2023, comes in two versions, the Hyper SSR and the Hyper SSR Ultimate, both versions equipped with three electric motors. The Ultimate version boasts an impressive 1225 hp, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 271 km/h.

Measuring 4.53 meters in length and 1.23 meters in height, the Hyper SSR is equipped, according to GAC, with an interior featuring sustainable materials and no animal products, sport seats, and plenty of digital technology, including an 8.8” instrument panel and a 14.6” central screen.

In addition to the debut of the Hyper SSR at Milan Design Week, GAC also took the opportunity to introduce the Car Culture Series 3.0, a set of three prototypes, each presenting a different vision of the future of urban mobility: the City Pod, the City Box, and City Run.

The Chinese brand also noted that these prototypes pay homage to the urban landscapes of the Italian city of Milan, where GAC has its European R&D center, and Guangzhou, in China, the brand’s headquarters city, thus highlighting the company’s commitment to aesthetic innovation.
