In a stunning display of skill and determination, Gabriel Bortoleto shines in the Austrian Grand Prix qualifying, reaching the coveted Q3 for the first time in his Formula 1 career. The Kick Sauber driver secured the 8th position on the grid at the Red Bull Ring, marking a significant milestone in his racing journey.

Hailing from a successful stint in the F2 Championship last year, Bortoleto has been making waves at the Red Bull Ring, a track where he has previously tasted victory in junior categories. His impressive performance in the F3 and F2 races in recent years has now culminated in a remarkable Q3 achievement, setting the stage for a potential points finish in the race.

Bortoleto’s consistent pace throughout the weekend sessions has not gone unnoticed, with the Brazilian driver showcasing his talent by outperforming his teammate Nico Hulkenberg in qualifying. As he gears up to line up alongside an out-of-position Max Verstappen on the grid, Bortoleto remains optimistic about his chances of challenging the frontrunners, including the likes of Kimi Antonelli from Mercedes.

Reflecting on his Q3 accomplishment, Bortoleto expressed his elation, stating, “Reaching Q3 at this track is something very special for me. It has always been a place that I loved.” Despite acknowledging the challenges posed by his competitors, Bortoleto remains confident in his abilities to put up a fight and potentially secure a strong finish in the race.

As the anticipation builds for the Austrian Grand Prix, all eyes will be on Bortoleto as he embarks on this exciting opportunity to showcase his talent on the track. With a mix of determination and skill, the stage is set for a thrilling race day that could see the rising star shine even brighter in the world of Formula 1.
