Next week will bring a significant increase in fuel prices, especially gasoline, which happens at a time when the Portuguese are getting ready for Easter mini-vacations.
According to calculations by “ECO“, the price of regular gasoline 95 is expected to increase by 3.5 cents per liter on Monday, March 25, to an average price of €1.776. Meanwhile, regular diesel is expected to increase by 1.5 cents per liter, to €1.628 per liter.
The rise in fuel prices next week is justified by the increase in raw material prices in international markets.
According to the specialized publication in economic matters, these prices already take into account the discounts applied by fuel companies and the review of temporary tax measures to help mitigate the increase in fuel prices. The tax reduction determined by the measures currently in force is 25 cents per liter of diesel and 26 cents per liter of gasoline.
It is worth noting that this week, the price of regular diesel decreased by 0.3 cents per liter, while regular gasoline 95 increased by 0.9 cents.
