The NASCAR Xfinity series has always been a hotbed for high-octane rivalries. But the latest feud has taken the racing world by storm, with tensions escalating from on-track incidents to all-out social media warfare. At the heart of this controversy are two drivers: Josh Bilicki, a former member of Joe Gibbs Racing, and Kris Wright of Our Motorsports.

The feud that has now become a sensation among fans traces its roots back to the season opener in Daytona. Wright, in a miscalculated maneuver, crashed into the back of Bilicki’s car while entering the pit lane. Despite the encounter leaving his car damaged, Bilicki managed to finish the race in the 14th position. Recalling the harrowing incident, Bilicki stated, “I just saw the video…someone was coming in hot, hot, hot,”

The rivalry was further stoked at the Xfinity Series race at COTA. With both drivers looking to rebound from their rocky start to the season, tensions were high. While Bilicki was penalized for speeding in the pit lane, Wright was grappling with traffic. The two drivers clashed yet again, with Bilicki taking to social media to air his grievances. He wrote, “We were charging forward until the 5 car spun right in front of us and got into me….again…costing us about 25 seconds.”

Wright, never one to back down, was quick to counter Bilicki’s allegations, stating, “Got loose outside of you and you finished me off,” This response only added fuel to the fire, prompting Bilicki to retort, “Dude…..it’s embarrassing that you don’t even know what happened.”

Bilicki’s five-word rebuttal—”stepped on your again”—went viral, causing a social media frenzy among NASCAR fans. But Bilicki wasn’t done yet. He further berated Wright, advising him to revert to the IMSA series where he could “race doctors and dentists in LMP3.”

Bilicki’s frustration with Wright wasn’t isolated to just these incidents. He expressed discontent over Wright’s recurring disruptive behavior, saying, “I tried giving you the benefit of the doubt after Daytona,” Bilicki continued, “But it’s honestly getting out of hand.”

Wright’s aggressive driving style has been a topic of debate among fans and analysts alike. After scrutinizing the Daytona pit lane incident, experts concluded that Wright was at fault, putting to rest speculations about brake failure and spotter miscommunication. His on-track conduct was brought into question after similar incidents at Martinsville in 2022, where he caused a multi-car wreck, and at Charlotte Motor Speedway, where he crashed into a wall.

With both drivers set to compete at Phoenix Raceway next week, all eyes are on this escalating feud. Will cooler heads prevail, or will this rivalry continue to heat up, becoming the highlight of the 2025 season? Only time will tell.
