The week that is coming to an end was marked by an increase in fuel prices, after several weeks of decline. However, be prepared because prices will rise again on Monday.
According to calculations by “ECO”, in the early hours of next Monday, June 24th, the price of unleaded gasoline 95 will increase by 1.5 cents to an average price of €1.723 per liter. As for unleaded diesel, the most commonly used fuel in Portugal, it is expected to increase by 3 cents per liter to €1.581 per liter.
The fuel prices predicted for next week already take into account the discounts applied by the gas stations and the revision of temporary fiscal measures to help mitigate the increase in fuel prices. The tax reduction determined by the currently effective measures is 25 cents per liter of diesel and 26 cents per liter of gasoline.
The specialized publication in economic matters also recalls that this week, diesel prices rose by 2.8 cents and gasoline prices by 0.6 cents, below market estimates.
