The price of fuel will once again reinforce the upward trend that has been observed in recent weeks.
According to calculations by “ECO”, on Monday, July 8th, 95 unleaded gasoline will increase by 1.5 cents per liter, reaching an average price of €1.752 per liter. On the other hand, diesel, the most consumed fuel in Portugal, is expected to increase by 1 cent per liter, reaching an average price of €1.604.
If these predictions are confirmed, fuel prices will reach the fourth consecutive week of increases, with diesel reaching its highest value since April.
The specialized publication in economic matters states that the prices predicted for next week already take into account the discounts applied by gas stations and the revision of temporary fiscal measures to help mitigate the increase in fuel prices. The tax reduction determined by the currently in effect measures is 25 cents per liter of diesel and 26 cents per liter of gasoline.
