The next week is expected to bring an increase in fuel prices, both for diesel and gasoline.
Thus, and according to the calculations of “ECO”, in the early hours of next Monday, August 18th, the price of regular 95 gasoline is expected to increase by 1 cent per liter, to an average price of €1.692 per liter, while the price of regular diesel, the most commonly used fuel in Portugal, is also expected to rise by 1 cent per liter, reaching an average price of €1.531 per liter.
This increase in fuel prices predicted for next week comes after a decrease of 2 cents in diesel and 3.5 cents in gasoline prices this week.
The specialized publication in economic matters states that these values already take into account the discounts applied by the gas stations and the revision of temporary fiscal measures to help mitigate the increase in fuel prices. The tax reduction determined by the measures currently in force is 25 cents per liter of diesel and 26 cents per liter of gasoline.
