The upcoming week will bring a new drop in fuel prices, with forecasts indicating a significant decrease in gasoline prices.
According to calculations from “ECO,” the price of gasoline is expected to decrease by 4 cents next Monday, September 9th, to an average price of €1.630 per liter of regular 95 gasoline. If this reduction in regular gasoline prices is confirmed, it will be necessary to go back to October 2023 to find such a significant drop.
Meanwhile, the price of regular diesel, the most commonly used fuel in Portugal, is expected to drop by 2 cents per liter to an average price of €1.510, which, according to the calculations of the publication specializing in economic matters, is the lowest price for this fuel since July 3rd of last year.
According to the same source, these values already take into account the discounts applied by gas stations and the revision of temporary tax measures aimed at helping to mitigate the rise in fuel prices.
