Ferrari Chief Slams Media Rumors and Defends Team Integrity Amidst Job Speculations

The Ferrari team is currently facing a whirlwind of rumors and speculations surrounding the future of their boss, Frederic Vasseur, as they head into the 2025 Canadian Grand Prix. Reports from Italy have hinted at Vasseur’s possible dismissal, creating a storm of uncertainty around the team’s leadership.

Despite holding onto the second spot in the Constructors’ Championship, Ferrari finds themselves trailing a massive 197 points behind McLaren, the current leaders. This unexpected position has raised eyebrows, especially with star drivers Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton on their roster.

Hamilton, in a show of support for Vasseur, publicly endorsed his boss, emphasizing their strong working relationship and the respect he holds for him. However, the team faced a rocky start in Canada, with Leclerc crashing during Free Practice 1 and missing out on Free Practice 2 as a consequence. Meanwhile, Hamilton struggled to find his pace in the initial Montreal sessions.

In a fiery response to the media scrutiny, Vasseur took aim at the Italian press for their coverage, labeling it as disrespectful and a distraction to the team. He expressed his concerns about the impact of such rumors on the morale and focus of the individuals within the team, highlighting the personal toll it takes on them and their families.

Acknowledging the challenges faced by the team, Vasseur emphasized the need for unity and focus, especially when competing for a championship title. He called out the journalists for their lack of consideration towards the team members’ personal lives and urged them to refrain from such damaging speculations.

Looking ahead to the Canadian Grand Prix, Ferrari aims to improve on their performance from the previous season, where they suffered a double DNF. Vasseur remained optimistic about their chances, noting the positive strides made in recent races and the team’s determination to close the gap with McLaren.

As Ferrari prepares for the upcoming challenges on the track, Vasseur’s resolute response to the media frenzy underscores the team’s unwavering commitment to success amidst external pressures and uncertainties.

The Ferrari saga continues to unfold, with Vasseur leading the charge to defend the team’s honor and integrity in the face of adversity.
