Fred Vasseur alega que informações sobre a transferência inesperada de Lewis Hamilton para a Ferrari foram divulgadas intencionalmente por um indivíduo.

The surprising transfer of Lewis Hamilton to Ferrari in 2025 shocked the entire automotive community before the start of the 2024 season. The unexpected move caught everyone off guard, leading many to speculate that the news was leaked by either Ferrari or Mercedes. However, team principal Fred Vasseur assured that Ferrari was not responsible for the leak.

Vasseur praised the secrecy surrounding Hamilton’s transfer, acknowledging the small group within Ferrari that managed to keep the news hidden until the last moment. He expressed his satisfaction with how the matter was handled and emphasized that there was no leak from Ferrari.

Similarly, Vasseur recalled his own experience with leaks when he joined Ferrari. He acknowledged that rumors about his move to the Scuderia were circulating, much like the rumors surrounding Hamilton. Vasseur understood that a team like Ferrari would attract so much media attention, and he reflected on the six months leading up to his arrival in Maranello, during which the rumors flourished.

Addressing rumors of a meeting between Hamilton and Vasseur in Bologna, the Frenchman clarified that these were not leaks. He explained that Hamilton was present in Bologna for testing purposes, and refrained from passing judgment on the leaks, considering his previous experience with similar situations during his time at Renault Racing (now Alpine).

Hamilton’s transfer to Ferrari was hailed as one of the most significant developments in the world of sports. Even Vasseur was unaware of the situation, as he was suddenly replaced by the seven-time world champion for the 2025 season. Fans eagerly await Hamilton’s debut for the Scuderia next year.
