After yesterday’s fire at WAE (formerly Williams Advanced Engineering) facilities, the Formula E pre-season tests will only resume tomorrow afternoon for the second session.
According to a championship note, the start is currently scheduled for 2:00 PM (local time, 1:00 PM in mainland Portugal). However, confirmation will only be given at 11:00 AM (10:00 AM) after the investigation into yesterday’s incident.
The fire broke out in a battery. With the cancellation of the second day of testing and a delayed start to tomorrow’s action, the goal is to give WAE time to analyze what happened. The British technology company is the exclusive supplier of the batteries.
