It seems that Mick Schumacher will not have a place to return to Formula 1 in 2024, appearing increasingly unlikely to be able to return in the future. Therefore, he will have to find an alternative path, in which Formula E does not seem to be one of the options for now.
In an interview with TuttoMotori, the current test and reserve driver for Mercedes was asked if he is interested in competing in the electric single-seater championship. In his response, he revealed a lack of enthusiasm:
“To be honest, no. I like combustion engines and the smell of fuel. Unfortunately, Formula E is not the right category for me at the moment. Right now, I am very interested in categories where the engine smells, makes noise, and ignites.”
