Líderes da equipe de Fórmula 1 preocupados com falta de transparência após acusações de Ben Sulayem.

In a tabloid format, the headline for the article could be: “F1 team bosses react to FIA investigation into controversial actions of president”

The first paragraph could be rewritten as follows: “Toto Wolff, the team boss of Mercedes in Formula 1, is among the team bosses who have commented on the ongoing FIA investigation into president Mohammed Ben Sulayem. This investigation is the latest scandal to hit the sport and involves allegations of attempted interference in the decisions of race stewards during the 2023 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.”

The second paragraph could be rewritten as: “Ben Sulayem was accused by a whistleblower on March 4 of trying to manipulate the decisions of race stewards during the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Initially, Fernando Alonso was given a 10-second penalty for an infringement, but Aston Martin’s review overturned the decision after Alonso had already served a 5-second penalty.”

The third paragraph could be rewritten as: “On March 5, the FIA issued a statement in response to new allegations. These new allegations suggested that Ben Sulayem had instructed officials not to certify the circuit for the Las Vegas Grand Prix before its inaugural race the previous year.”

The fourth paragraph could be rewritten as: “The FIA acknowledged the allegations and stated that a Compliance Officer had received a report detailing potential improper conduct by certain members of its governing bodies.”

Finally, the fifth paragraph could be rewritten as follows: “After the Grand Prix in Jeddah on Saturday, Wolff was asked about the controversy off the track. He expressed concern about the lack of transparency in the sport and emphasized the importance of transparency and understanding in resolving such situations. Wolff also acknowledged that, while rumors are not always true, the sport should seek transparency and await the results of the investigation.”

During the Thursday press conference with team principals, Alpine team boss Bruno Famin emphasized the importance of focusing on the events that occurred on the track within our sport. Famin stressed that it is the responsibility of the promoter, regulator, and teams to set an example for everyone. He mentioned that there is an ongoing investigation by the FIA, but it is crucial for all of us to be exemplary in our actions.

James Vowles, team principal of Williams, shared that he, along with the general public and media present at the conference, learned of the allegations through media reports. He expressed satisfaction with the existence of a review process, stating that it is the correct approach.

Mike Krack, team principal of Aston Martin, emphasized that his team’s perspective on the matter is closed. He mentioned their involvement in a similar situation last year, where they successfully presented a right of review and provided new evidence that led to the overturning of a penalty. From their point of view, the whole issue is resolved.

Christian Horner, Red Bull team principal, warned against jumping to conclusions and pre-judging the situation. Drawing on his experience with public investigations, he stressed the importance of waiting for the facts and reality to emerge before making judgments. Horner emphasized that the relevant parties and the FIA will follow their established process.
